This weekend was our first taste of winter weather in Mokhotlong.
A light snow dusted the mountains in the morning.
Yes, it snows in Africa.
You can actually ski here in the winter.
To warm ourselves up, we set out on a hike to see a few villages further down the valley.
On the left is Rachel, the other TTLF Fellow.
Rachel is Canadian and just finished a community health masters degree in London.
In the middle is Lyle.
Lyle lived in Mokhotlong for ten years and is now back writing a book of short stories about the area.
He's an incredibly interesting guy...he speaks fluent Sesotho...is full of hilarious stories about living aboard...and is a great resource for anything you could possibly need to know about Lesotho.
