Star gazing is one of my favorite pastimes.
It's such a simple, relaxing, peaceful experience.
It quickly makes you remember what a beautiful world and universe we live.
I'm very lucky that you can still see so many stars at our family cabin in Coeur d'Alene.
The U.S. Parks Association points out that because of increasing light pollution only 10% of the U.S. will have a view of the nightsky.
“We hope to not only give the viewer a sublime moment of reflection but also raise their awareness about our disappearing night sky,” said Morris, founder and artistic director of The Windmill Factory art collective. “This combination will motivate people to turn off lights at home, ask their offices to put lights on timers, and perhaps even help influence public lighting policy.”
This beautiful art installation in the Hudson River in New York brings awareness to this issue.
