Our dear family friends, Jim and Mary Anne, were married this last month.
It was a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful wedding!
My two favorite touches:
1. Jim's young grandchildren played much of the music during the ceremony. So precious!
2. Jim's family is originally from Italy. In true Italian style, they love to cook. In fact they have a special family ravioli recipe that they make for all family get-togethers and holidays. A few days before the wedding, they all got together and handmade 500 raviolis to serve at the wedding. Not only were they delicious, but the raviolis were such a wonderful personal touch.
Well, because I so enjoyed making the double wedding ring quilt when my best friend got married last summer, I decided to make one for Jim in Mary Anne.
True to form, it wasn't quite ready when they got married.
I gave it to them last week and the love, love, loved it!
