I'm so excited for her and her husband!

It'll definitely be a big transition, but I think it's just wonderful when people embark on huge adventures likethis!
She's already a whiz at French, so I'm sure she's excited to make good use of that skill.
When I heard the news, I immediately emailed her to ask how she would be keeping us up to date on all their adventures.
It really reminded me of the importance of staying connected to friends and family...especially when you're have way around the world.
So, I am really going to make a concentrated effort to keep up my own blog...especially once I'm off having adventures in Africa!
Side note: Just FYI...
My friend...the one who's moving to Switzerland...well, her nickname is Boat.
Yes, that's an interesting story in itself, but not the one I'm going to tell right now.
Well, when we were in college at UW, I was walking across a busy part of campus and I saw Boat in walking past me, so I yelled out her name.
So, normally when you yell out someone's name and they don't hear you, people around you don't think it's that weird.
But, when you seemingly randomly yell out "BOAT!", people think it's weird.
