One People

                                                             From Obakki Foundation.
Sometimes it's so easy to forget that the problems and hardships around the world affect real people.

I often ask myself, "How is the world letting this happen to people?"

The extreme poverty, disease, hunger, and war are problems so extremely different from our own problems that's it so hard to wrap your mind around.

It's hard to really understand that thousands of children die each day from disease, hunger, and war.

If we did really understand this, we wouldn't let it happen.

As I head prepare for my year in Lesotho, I am continually looking for inspiration.

I know that there will be moments when I feel like collapsing to the floor because I can't face the tragedy that surrounds me.

I know that the images of smiling faces and little dancing bodies will help me through.

This video is the work of the Obakki Foundation, one of the many, many hardworking NGO's that work with the people of Africa.
